I worked with Terrel Hale for a year or so and I don't think he is strange, weird or what not and have recommended him to friends and fellow runners. He doesn’t do anything out of the "ordinary" as far as massage goes (i.e., don't have to go naked, I wore running shorts, etc...). He also listens to his clients opinions and tries to focuses on the areas of concern with each client.
He is good at massage and knows his profession.
As mentioned by previous persons in this string, he has worked a lot on the top runners in the Washington DC Area and also worked on athletes in Athens for the Olympics both of which speak highly of his talents.
I would recommend him and would suggest you try him out for yourself.
