I've never really understood why running YouTubers don't open online coaching businesses. I guess Sage Canaday, Sandi Nypaver and Phily Bowden have, but I bet Seth, Kofuzi and the rest could make a decent living off selling couch to 5k plans.
Most successful YouTuber runner? I propose Henry Catchpole. Probably just his shoes and not a product placement, but nice clip of him heel and toeing (@7:30) in Adidas Terrex Speed Ultras that happen to be my favorites too for running and driving.
The Peugeot 205 is 40-years young in 2023 and this episode of The Driver’s Seat seemed like a very good way to mark that significant birthday. The 205 GTi is...
Pikes Peak is coming up Sept 17. I wonder if Seth is still planning to do it?
Everything said about SJD in the old thread is accurate. The man is a clown in many ways. BUT if he somehow emerges from his "retirement" to win Pikes again? Running motivated solely by sticking it to the LetsRun trolls and haters? I would become a DGR stan, I can't even lie. S*** would be hilarious.
Kofuzi's content has gone downhill since becoming a professional Youtuber. His amateur content was much better, in my opinion.
This is the biggest death sentence for any creator you once enjoyed. They always make a video where they're super happy they finally quit their job and have time to "devote" to making videos full time! From then it's nothing but frequent, lazy videos and the worst ad reads of all time. Kids, stick to a real job. At least when you're lazy and burnt out at work you can hop on LetsRun and don't have an audience making threads about you.
Before Kofuzi was running around Budapest in his Asics, he was reviewing kids shoes. He also does live streams of himself opening packages of gear. If Seth has really permanently retired, I suppose the torch had to be passed to someone, might as well have been Kofuzi.
Kofuzi's kids' shoes video was actually quite useful, my children are starting primary school and will be running cross country in a few years (everyone does in their school, not just the team...), so it was useful insight on the options available. Pity he didn't review any of the Inov8 children's cross country shoes that are really perfect for our muddy clay conditions.

If you search SJD on Strava, there are 4 profiles. Imagine all of the activities that he's hidden that didn't go well. Enough LRC content for the rest of the year.

I would say he deserves a Black Page if he podiums (or runs his ascent really quick.)

Kofuzi is very open about the fact that Youtube is a hobby that he makes a little money from. He didn't close his business because he thought he could make a killing on Youtube.
Ben Parkes update: DNFed at UTMB again after what seemed to be a decent training block. Instead of addressing this, he put out some video about "the key to great long runs". I'm sorry but this guy has turned into a waster. Seems like a nice enough guy, but has absolutely zero mental toughness.
Every year, trail runners from around the world gather in the most beautiful setting to test themselves against some of the most unrelenting terrain in the W...
Sage Canaday finished 11th in a 98 mile race during the UTMB festival of races and is pleased with his performance. After all his health issues this was nice to see.

geez, aside from maybe Ko and Sage all the ShoeTubers are so goddamn boring. the runfluencer model really pushes everyone to follow the same boring model for content. so unexciting.
sage canaday - whose pulmonary embolism definately has NOTHING to do with the pfizer vax as healthy young people are also susceptible to PE, ofcouse having your PE soon after the pfizer vax is just a huge coincidence ofcourse ofcourse
A subsequent review of available data showed that J&J vaccine’s known and potential benefits outweighed its known and potential risks. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Food and Drug Administration did advise women younger than 50 to be aware of the risk, noting that it had not been seen in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Still, the numbers are small. The likelihood of developing TTS after J&J's COVID vaccine is 4 cases per one million doses, the CDC said. And, keep in mind, tens of millions of doses have been safely administered in the U.S. Also important, one study determined that people were eight to 10 times more likely to develop blood clots in the brain from having COVID itself rather than from receiving either of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.

Most of the shoetubers are just muddling about because shoes in general got boring again in my opinion. With the rise of the supershoes, a bit before, and around the time of the pandemic, it at least was something to watch and contemplate during all that off time. Now, everyone has their pairs and whatnot and it doesn't matter. The new Adidas adios pro evo is really nothing new, just reworked to be as light as possible. The principle behind the tech is the exact same. What Nike did was change the game. We need a game changer again to make all this interesting again. Some of those threads in the beginning on supershoes got super long, now your lucky to get a half dozen responses to regurgitated questions.
