Loveys won't likely challenge their projected top 5 (incl Starliper) but would add even more depth to Rauber/Quarzo/etc for 6th/7th slot. She actually beat Mareno at Nuttycombe (as well as Quarzo) in 2022

This is what I was going to say. I’ll put Loveys in the 6-7 range.
So you don’t think Hartman is go to contend for a 6-7 spot?
On Loveys, she was 3rd in the Mid-Atlantic xc regional. Why didn’t she run in Stillwater?
I would put her in the Rauber/Quarzo/etc group! I just did not name more names!
From Princeton eh? Where are the NC State academics haters?
Where's that guy constantly saying that every female runner in the country should go to Stanford, and constantly trashing NC State saying that "none of the athletes" on NC State's teams could get admitted to the "uber elite" academic schools like Stanford and Notre Dame...lol
This runner got her Ivy League education. Ivy league doesn't allow for a 5th year of eligibility so she is going to be part of a national championship team at a school where she won't have to do any academic work. She is a genius. Imagine the jobs she will get with her Ivy League degree. And she will have the enjoyment of winning a championship. She is very smart.
Just based from the few that I've looked into, it appears that over half of the athletes on NC State's women's distance program are extremely intelligent and/or accomplished academically, and either were admitted to or could have gotten admitted to virtually any school in the country -- including Abby Loveys (transfer from Princeton), Allie Hay (transfer from Columbia), Nevada Mareno (transfer from the mighty Stanford), and Katelyn Tuohy and Kelsey Chmiel who both have over a 4.0 at NC State.
Another way to look at it is the Coach has a hard time developing talent versus having it handed to her. What coach or team couldn't win with those runners?
It's like the USA playing Mexico in Olympic Basketball. Who's got the advantage before the game starts?

I thought the guy said noone who is smart would go to NC State (in addition to that noone on NC State could get into the "good"schools. As pointed out there are now a few apparently smart runners from the "good" schools who find their way into NC State program.
She is probably so relieved to now be able to kick back in a cake academic program and concentrate on training. After studying hard for so many years this will be a nice nap.
yeah right ... won't have to do any work ... during GRAD SCHOOL at the biggest state university in NC. Hahahaha!!!!
I don't care what so-called prestigious Ivy undergrad program someone went to ... she'll find plenty of academic rigor at NC State's grad school.
Loveys is a Psychology Major pre-med at Princeton. Her masters at state would most likely be something to strengthen her med school application, likely research intensive. I'd wager something in neuroscience.
She may enroll and run XC and never attend a class. Some of these women used their legs to get enrolled to schools where they couldn't get admitted to. Reality set in and they are getting out. And Tuohy didn't get admitted to any elite schools. Maybe she could have or maybe not. People are good at making claims at what they could have done in life if only they had really wanted to.
