Arkansa should give Gregory a chance to win the mile at Nationals. Who besides Tuohy might beat her, and who thinks Tuohy will run the mile? Today she ran 2:19.4 (809)/2:12.5 after the DMR effort last night

I agree. I think this is her last indoor season as well. Her best shot for an individual title is probably the mile this season.
I can't find the generic 2023 Indoor thread, so I will mention here Emily Venters 9:00.9 at UW today. For her sake I hope that time holds up as fast enough to qualify. Currently 8th or 9th on list I think.
Willis [52.81] and Whittaker [52.18] also ran the 4x4. Busy weekend.
I'm not surprised by Willis's time, but that's faster than I thought Whittaker would run. Most 800 pros can't even come close to splitting 52.18 indoors.

Markezich might be in 4:10 1500 shape right now and she certainly brings it when it counts. Asekol and Olemomoi could be legitimate threats at this distance, depending on their current workout regimen (though I'd favour the latter as more of a podium contender in the 5 & 10 this year). And then there's PV.
As for Tuohy and the 1500, after today, I'm waiting for her DL debut after her mile pb drops even further following a year or two of pro training. I hope she ponders a challenging 5/10 double attempt at Outdoor Nats in June.

AR W run 3:26 w/o Britton Wilson and also had a 0:51 leg on a B team!
NC St. 3:20 55 2:05 4:25 = 10:45 or 3:23 55 2:05 4:27 = 10:50
Love the idea of it - who would be the 1200 leg in these projections? Is Mareno a possibility? Also think Bush could go a little faster on that 800 leg (running start and relay adrenaline). The anchor is a 1600 instead of a mile so faster for Tuohy also. The only thing more dangerous than KT in an open 1600 or mile race is her with a baton in her hand trying to run down other teams.
I think her coach has been having her run 400s in her past few races to build her up for the Millrose 300.
I expect her to make a serious run at the world indoor record of 35.45 by Irina Privalova set in 1993. I’m confident she’ll take down Chandra Cheeseborough‘s AR of 35.46 but Marita’s Koch’s absolute of 34.1x is probably out of reach. I just don’t think it’s a legitimate record anyway given that Koch was probably doped to the gills.
