"The great thing about running is that you set the challenges. And whether you’re pushing for a sub-30 5km or edging closer to Boston marathon qualification, every goal is equal."
Who actually buys these shoes to run in?

They sponsor a bunch of hobby joggers in NYC area with social media influence. I guess they figured hobby joggers don't about Joe Klecker and Alicia Monson.
when the person who started this thread finds out who fueled the growth of Nike and Adidas early on to make them successful businesses, they're going to be furious
That’s where the money is, Sparky. ON owns the upper income lifestyle hobby joggers niche right now. Brooks and Hoka rule the middle, and Nike gets the price point hobby consumer. Plated super shoes are really cool but that is a really small sliver of the running footwear marketplace.
Chris Thompson is sponsored by them, used them in the Olympic marathon.
But also used a pair of blacked painted vapourflys when he ran against Bekele, so...
Whatever you think of the brand, having the most dynamic coach in the sport right now makes them part of the conversation with the LRC consumers. I think Engels will be coaching soon enough and become a threat to Dathan's dominance.
I really want to like ON shoes but they’re awful. I like the athletes a lot, I like what they’re doing for the sport. I know a few people that run in the Cloud Monster but other than that, I don’t know anybody who isn’t sponsored by ON that runs in their shoes. I try them every 6-9 months and I’m always disappointed.
Me.

I’m also a fan of most of the OAC athletes and not a huge fan of their shoes for running. BUT I’ve noticed that ON is doing extremely well in the healthcare worker market. I know this is not exactly what they are going for, though it’s worth noting that there is definitely a lot of overlap between high income hobby joggers and doctors/other high paid health care workers. And even though I don’t like to run in them, I love their shoes for shifts in the hospital. They are really comfortable for standing on your feet all day, way more so than lots of the shoes that are advertised as being for healthcare workers. A ton of my colleagues have expressed the exact opinion about liking them for work, but not working out. The hospital is definitely where I have seen the most people wearing On shoes compared to any other location.
Their earlier models are crap but I love their newer “cushion “ shoes like the cloud monsters
Gustav Iden would disagree.
Has anyone tried the CloudGo?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
