Some say that Nautilus machines enhance running & help one aviod injuries. If anyone here uses them, do you do 1 or 3 sets, how much weight and how many reps?

Beginning in September, I started doing a routine of various machines ( basically all body parts) 3X a week. I did one set of 12 reps.
I have found that I feel alot better than just when running alone and have had no injuries.
Are you talking about weight machines, or ellipticals or something like that?
