Sarcastic, and a bit pretentious on camera. I remember her throwing a middle finger during a race while she was 10 seconds ahead of everyone. Happy to see she got humbled by Tuohy.
You remember that, really? How about footage or a picture of the moment?
It is bitter, brain-damaged, sight-impaired mr. carmine9, who swears he saw Zelensky give a Nazi salute while shopping in a grocery store.
I love her post. So many messages conveyed in those few sentences:
1. By stating the tangent formula, she acknowledges the criticism about her and shows she is learning, demonstrating that she listens and she has a healthy growth mindset.
2. By stating she had fun and is grateful for the experience, she displays a healthy and mature perspective about the race, and she counters perceptions that she is “devastated.”
3. Her parenthetical note about the freezing weather in the race casually reminds us that she was disadvantaged by the conditions yet still kicked butt out there and nearly won the championship.
4. The best part: “see you on the track.” That’s a loaded statement. It shows she is looking forward. It’s also a message to her rivals and haters (and fans) that she is not done, and we haven’t seen the last year. She’s going to come back with a vengeance, and she is going to deliver some major thrashings. It’s similar to when a fighter says “see you in the ring.” It also referenced the fact that she is getting better each season. She got better after last year’s cross country season, she got better after track season, and she will get better this winter. Watch out!
I love this girl and her sense of humor. She's great for the sport. I hope good things are ahead for her.
I also love that her coach doesn't just run her into the ground. I'm sick of seeing college coaches get these talented hs girls in that are good athletes and just throwing a ton of volume at them and then wondering why they are injured all the time. That they are slowly increasing her volume and mixing in lots of cross training is refreshing to see. There's alot of bad college coaches out there on the womans side. Yes, even on successful teams. Hopefully he finds his way back to Madison when the current coach moves on.
Good response from her, hope she can figure it all out. It's weird that she hasn't yet but 99% of us want her to because we want to see her be able to maximize her talent.

You're assuming she came up with this herself. If she did, then yes, she earns an upvote from me.

There was a thread about this earlier, but in the video from that thread it looked to me like she was actually making a thumbs-up.
It's not that hard. Go from Point A to Point B as fast as possible. I've seen 8 year olds running youth cross country run tangents better than she did.
It's not that easy. Do you really want her carrying a compass, protractor and a ruler while she is competing against the legendary Kate Tuohy???
