In the mid-atlantic region, right now two kids from my town Mendham NJ are running 1 and 5 at 3k.

Could be like 10 or 15 spots at Nationals! What happened to starliper and shaw? They started training way 2 early! Should have just cross trained and began running like a month ago!
Ohhhhhh, now I gotcha.
See I didn’t realize that the expectation is that you go 1-2-3-4-5 and perfect score at regionals, or else your 4th and 5th runners are “not looking great”. Makes a ton of sense
Timing is as 3, 5, 8, and 10km. Wisconsin's 6th caused part of the gap; I think that he could have won the race so if he were in with the middle, they would have been within less than half a second. Last time they did that they won Nationals. Not sure they are that good but I bet that they are better than their 8th(?) place ranking and only two other teams in the Region are getting any votes at all. Now I cannot check anything because they are no longer showing the final results - maybe a dispute of some kind.
Villanova and Georgetown men got the top 2 autos out of the Mid-Atlantic region, with Liam Murphy (Villanova) getting the individual win. Princeton (#2 in region before the race) finished third as a team and their Connor Nisbet (5th individual) was the first finisher who did not represent Villanova (1st, 4th) or Georgetown (2nd, 3rd)
Do any of you wonks out there have updated estimates of the teams that will make it in?
Dang, Abraham Longosiwa (Hofstra) has almost a 10 second lead in the Northeast men's race by 3.1k. He's been leading from the gun (almost 3 seconds at 1.2k, 3.5 seconds at 2.2k)
[Aside, I hate how there are pop-up ads that are blocking the "post reply" button at the bottom of my post window!]
Navy distance running will never be relevant.
A few successes here and there but as far as service academies go, Air Force will always be superior for distance running.
At 5.6k, Longosiwa's lead has shrunk to 25 seconds at the Northeast Regional.
I meant 2.5 seconds
I wasn’t sure if Harvard was going to qualify at halfway, but they’ve moved up and Providence has dropped down.
Bradley women. 3rd at Midwest. I had no idea Bradley had a good team. I love it that smaller schools routinely manage to put together strong XC teams.
Iona could snag an auto though if Harvard's #4 and #5 don't drop too much in this last 2k
Blanks wins it in 29:14, Iverson 5 seconds back
New Jersey runners lead Villanova to victory!!
Syracuse gets the team win, going 6-8-11-17-23 in scoring. Harvard goes 1-2 in the individual race, led by Graham Blank and Acer Iverson, helping the team finish second over Cornell and Providence.
Ooof, Cornell, providence, and Iona separated by 2 points. Cornell wins with head to head 1 through 5, providence wins based on 6th
HUGE bounce back by UVA men after a lackluster conference meet to advance to nationals
I didn't think the NCAA looked at 6th runners for tie-breakers. Right now Cornell is shown as the 3rd place team and Providence as 4th, both with 135 scores.
I think you’re right, although not sure I agree with the NCAA on that
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?

Do "running influencers" harm the competitive nature of the sport?
What is the most stupid running advice you've ever heard?🤣(It can be funny)
