There is zero chance they are in the top 4. Beating the #6 team just isn't that impressive. They will probably be like 7. It will be hard for them to pass a team like TN which murdered them or any of the undefeated teams. The unknown is if they will jump the 1 loss pac teams.

If LSU runs the table & wins the West, they would play Georgia in the SEC title game. If they beat Georgia (presumably undefeated & top ranked) then they're in the CFP hands down...period...end of story. 👍
Bama might just not be that good. Pretty much Texas with better framing this year. Nearly lost to a bad A&M team. Ditto Texas with their backup QB. Lost to Tennessee close. Now LSU. So far in every game but maybe the 15th-best type team as opposed to a standout.

Impossible. They could beat Georgia by 40 points, USC, Michigan, and TCU lose and still not make it. There is a better chance that the Houston Texans win the Super Bowl this year (they are not mathematically eliminated yet so there is a chance).

If LSU had not lost to TAMU and beat UGA, then they might have gotten in if USC lost (or maybe TCU loses). Remember this thread was started 3 weeks ago and LSU was sitting at 5.

Of course LSU with 3 losses would never make the playoffs even with a solid win over Georgia. I'm not even sure a 2 loss team, like Bama, would make it in though Bama is better than Ohio St (Bama has much stronger strength of schedule than OSU).
Losing to Texas A and M is bar none, the worst loss for a top ten team all year. The ignorant don't consider that A and M has lost numerous players to injury, suspension and transfer and got walloped by fellow cupcakes. Their weak oline and running game looked immaculate against porous, overrated LSU. Florida State bewting LSU to open the year was ignored and no fluke.

The SEC is by far the best conference in the country. Go look at all the lousy teams that are in the Big -10.
