So your idea to clean up the sport that clearly does not have the necessary funds to properly test athletes, is to divert more funds to giving dopers the chance to get off on technicalities?
That is a disingenuous argument, since you are not convinced doping aids performance. You consistently maintain that athletes and coaches only "believe" it does - so in your book it may not. You are less concerned with stopping the practice than persuading athletes to give it up, because you believe it is a fiction that it actually helps them - especially if they are Kenyan distance runners who take EPO. Hence your real objection to doping control is that it punishes athletes for something doping doesn't do - which is make them better athletes. It is the doping version of believing "the big lie".
I do believe you ought to consider banning persistent doping apologists. It's a good thing that the Brojos are pro free speech (although some of the mods clearly aren't), but individuals who 'argue' that peds do not work, and that there is no doping problem in Kenya, while repeatedly siderailing thread after thread with his long winded obfuscations, are not helping the anti-doping cause. Look what he's doing to this thread.

wejo, I do believe you ought to consider banning persistent racist, rape apologists.
This thread is about ideas to "clean up" the sport, not performance. Stay on topic.
I will not pollute this thread by discussing with you. Come up with your own ideas.
There is nothing to "clean up" if doping doesn't enhance performance - which you have persistently argued. But failing to see that doesn't deter you from "polluting threads", as you so insightfully admit.

Two of my ideas is to educate athletes and educate the fans. That would clean up the sport and the reputation.
we need to tap into the other end of doping by seeking out pharmacists, chemists, and other scientists who are hired to be one step head on potentially new performance enhancing drugs. They would be tasked with seeking out potential drugs that are in the works and developing tests to detect them.

Exactly. It’s like law enforcement going after fentanyl addicts without even bothering to look for the dealers.

What do athletes need "educating" in - that EPO doesn't work? What do fans need "educating" in - that doping isn't really a problem because Kenyan distance runners don't benefit from it?
