So what, you expect people to never get better??

Yes, he is on the path.
From the winner: 2:28.9, 2:29.7, 2:28.3. Perfection.
Up front Aregawi: 2:26.6, 2:28, 2:32.2. Krop and Lobalu died even harder.
I think Aregawi has a 7:24 in him with better pacing and more company perhaps. He tried to run 7:22 and paid at the finish with a 2:02.5 last 800m.
Fisher: 2:28.3, 2:31.3, 2:28.6. That’s near-perfect.
No. Because Arop was a hired pacer so his strategy was what he was paid to do. However, he DID say that after his pacing duties were done he was going to keep on going and that is what he did.

Yeah it was the close to the weakest of the US men’s distance records but hats off to Fisher as with the super spikes he did it.
You got a lot of downvotes, but you weren’t wrong. The super spikes are worth 4-7 seconds over 3k.
The downvotes are because he said no American would break 7:30. This was an incorrect statement.
Llyles 19.46MR. Yer man's for real. Knighton, Norman follow in the slipstream.

Hurta is IT. What a season.
US Women have been stepping up this year. Hope they're gearing up to step up to the next level for 2023. 10.8 is starting to be normal for US sprinters, same with 21.9. almost too many 1:57/58 runners to count, plenty of 3:58/59 runners.
In 2022 only 4 women broke 4. Sinclaire, Cranny, MacLean and Elle. Plenty more fresh blood to contribute next year.
Lyles dominant!

Yeah I didn’t realize that with the super spikes that Grant would eke it out. Well done with help from the super spikes.
Total cheese. Nobody congratulated him because he is an annoying cheese man child.
3000m Official results
The hype between Lyles and Knighton is dead for the rest of the year. Lyles is just a couple levels higher than everyone .

Well I was extremely close to being correct. The super spikes are a wild card. Maybe the super burritos too. There is a lot going on here.

My post was intended to be in regard to the post about Arop needing to improve his race tactics. NOT this comment. I goofed there.

Lyles is now better on the turn, and from there it looks unfair.

I love how Lyles ran hard through the line even though he had a big lead. No celebrating early the way some sprinters do.
Hahahahah - "4-7 seconds over 3000m?!" I legitimately laughed out loud at that. And what evidence do you base that nugget of elite scientific insight off?
