I am not surprised. Today's 3000m result is why, on this site the night before 5000m final, World Championship, I begged G. Fisher to take the lead on penultimate lap and race penultimate lap sub-59. At a minimum, today's result shows us Grant Fisher should have been either shoulder to shoulder with J.I. from 4000m split or no further than 1/2 a stride behind J.I. from 4000m to 4700m. J.I., a superior 800m man would outkick G. Fisher 19 of 20 times they race 5000m but today's performance backs up my statements that G. Fisher should have gone for it at W.C., 5000m final.
I was honestly disappointed. He was 4th in the world in the 10k, he should have gone with the leaders and tried to run 7:24. It was a wimpy race, no courage.
The penultimate lap WAS a 59 genius. I can't believe how many of you people come on here talking about stuff like this when you actually didn't even wash the race. Get out of here with that nonsense.
Pretty much yes. But this was a strung out time trial where being on the rail was smart. No chance of being boxed with the race spread out. Then he moved up when he needed to late in the race.

You are either not very smart. Either you have awful reading comprehension or you intentionally did a SCOPE SHIFT. Day before 5000m final, I stated Grant Fisher needed to 1) take the lead; 2) race sub-59 penultimate lap, 5000m final.
1) Grant Fisher did NOT take the lead, penultimate lap;
2) Grant Fisher did NOT race penultimate lap sub-59.
Anything to do with math is a high priority for me. I am rarely wrong regarding math. I accept being corrected if I ever am incorrect with my math. I do not appreciate a fool like you calling me out for a math error when I did not make a math error.

Perhaps someone didn't know what "penultimate" means, dear.
