I agree in general regarding the majority of federal judges.
There was some speculation at the time that Judge Cannon was have been looking to curry favor should Trump or a Trumpy successor get back in the Oval Office.
A plausible and more benign rational is she was in good faith giving every benefit of the doubt to the Trump team because of enormity of the potential prosecution of a former President. She basically said as much in the decision to appoint a special master.
Of the various cases involving Trump this one seems like it ought to be the easiest to prosecute and is difficult ignore given the repeated failures to return materials. My bet would be that formal charges are brought and then Biden, ala Gerald Ford, issues a pardon to avoid the spectacle of a trial and the consequences from a likely conviction.
The FBI is currently raiding Biden's Delaware beach home. Chime in libs...
Except this time they gave weeks of notice, left their guns back at the office, and are saying please and thank you.
Great video dissecting Right Wing propaganda trying to discredit the investigation of Trump's possible crimes re documents. Stephen Miller's 'America First Legal' puts out a misleading letter in which they misrepresent how our government works, and then this gets pushed by right wingers up and down the line.

Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran forced to step down in Mar a Lardo case because he is either a critical witness to Trump's obstruction of justice OR a criminal co-conspirator. I wonder which it is? Hmmmm.

Indictment watch: Jack Smith likely to drop the hammer soon regarding stolen documents. I'll guess that happens this month. In other news, Meadows testified. Maybe regarding Jan 6 related Trump crimes?

No judge would sign off on a warrant on an ex-President if they didn’t have airtight probable cause.
Is that what they are telling you on MSNBC? Think about it. U.S. Congress will likely be in the hands of Republicans, January, 2023. Does J. R. B. Jr. want to face impeachment for illegal and unethical war in Ukraine? It's one thing for J. R. B. Jr. U.S. Justice Department to give D. J. T. a bit of a scare. It is another thing to actually place hand cuffs on D. J. T.
LOL.

FBI already went through everything. I'm waiting to see what happens in Indictcember, followed by Incarcuary.
How's that workin' out for ya? Sucker!!!
Well, my indictment prediction was 6 months off. But June works for me too. The important thing is that Smith finally got people to tell the truth under oath, and the grand jury (composed of regular citizens of Florida) voted by at least 12 out of 15 that the evidence was good and Trump should be charged with crimes.

So Smith has now also indicted De Oliveira who not accidentally flooded the Mar a Lardo computer server room. What a story. Oopsie, somebody there must have told the truth to law enforcement. De Oliveira you need to make a deal to testify before you end up behind bars. Trump is nobody's Savior, he is more of a pusher-under-buses type guy.

tRump wants his fall guy to go to jail. With a name like De Oliveira he is likely an underpaid illegal, or on a questionable visa. Trump won't have to pay him his final paycheck ... he will pocket that guy's pay.

This thread and the Trump indictment thread are incredibly long because the Trumpsters lied, excused, blamed, and obfuscated as long as possible.
But as there are more indictments, as the chargers are spelled out and the evidence mounts, even his most ardent defenders are giving up. They have fallen silent. They let these threads slide off the first page as fast as possible.
Deep down they know that Trump broke the law, got caught, and if there is any justice at all he will be convicted.

The new allegations are the most damning so far. It looks like it was "Trump Employee 4" who has been talking to law enforcement, at least on the issues related to the security surveillance videos.
1. Trump had the DOJ subpoena for the surveillance videos in his hands
2. Trump talked to co-defendant Nauta
3. Nauta then rearranged his travel plans from going to Illinois with Trump to going to Mar-A-Lagara
4. Nauta contacted the Direct of IT at Mar-A-Lagara ("Trump Employee 4") and arranged to meet him
5. New co-defendant De Oliveira contacted several Mar-A-Lag people and told them to keep quiet about Nauta's visit
6. De Oliveira asked Trump Employee 4 how long surveillance video was stored and was told 45 days
7. De Oliveira told Trump Employee 4 that Trump wanted all the surveillance video destroyed
8. The next day De Oliveira walked through some Mar-A-Lag bushes and met Nauta on adjacent property and apparently debriefed him - it looks like Nauta was trying to stay hidden from other Mar-A-Lag employees and from cameras
The things that unclear here is why the surveillance video was able to be recovered. Did Trump Employee 4 refuse to destroy the evidence? Did he try to destroy the evidence, but the DOJ was able to forensically recover it anyway? IF it's the latter, I suppose Trump's best defense on these Counts is that he was going to destroy the surveillance video, but thought better of it and did not go through with the conspiracy.

And where in the timeline is the rather odd flooding of the server room from a pool? (Which apparently failed to destroy the server).
