Where's our girl at Tushars? Aravaipa has live check point coverage and she looks like a DNS. Tushars Mountain Run Live Tracking
We've closed this thread to new posts. Please discuss this topic in a new thread given the fact she just won the race outright in 2023. Does that mean that the 2022 cheating allegations definitely have no merit?

And this is where creeps on LetsRun cross the line.
Kind of forgot about this for awhile and just read back a bit. Does someone have a take on the crew member’s husband/van situation? Not to go all true crime but isn’t it pretty easy to fake the time/date of text messages?
It’s quite easy. And why did she edit the data? I’ve never had a reason to edit race data but then again, I’m not a 40 yr old CrossFit mom destroying records in the Worlds Hardest Marathon. Where the hell is she?
Soooo...just looked into this. I noticed the text screenshot that Derek shared in his article doesn't show "Wednesday morning" underlined. This is Apple's "smartlinks" feature (allows you to create calendar events etc), which has been permanent on iOS (and OSX) since about 2014. It can't be disabled, per Apple. The plot thickens.
Went through my texts, and quickly found instances where it didn’t link references to ‘Saturday Morning’, etc.
Also, that message was taken from a screen recording of text messages, sent to me within maybe 30 minutes of our conversation.
Read the articles. The ‘edit data’ was easily explained by changing privacy.
I understand privacy concerns which is why I have my Strava on private, but if I’m running a race I set it to public for that race.
and still, one could look up her address using her name
Love ya Harvey, can't wait for some of you all who reported suspicious behavior to finally speak out publicly. The silence is deafening.
baller!! love him. gotta be patient i guess.
Why can't they wear a small camera pointed at their face ?
True. You give me a name and in less than 60 seconds I've got their current address, birthday, spouse, etc... I don't care about looking up Ashley and don't know if she did or didn't cheat---it's her conscious----but even being able to look people up, they put too much out there to begin with.
Well those who reported suspicious behavior are afraid to speak out publicly. But Harvey is putting out some pretty clear lines to read between. Interesting that he mentioned talking to Laz, he talked about The Barkley Way, but made zero mention of Badwater. He did tag the US National 24 Hour Running Team at the bottom, and it's pretty well known that they invited her to try for the team and she hasn't responded. He's pissed. And as he says, those who know, know. Whose take do you trust more? Harvey's or Derek? I lean towards Harvey.
As mentioned many times in this thread, it isn't about "who do you believe" or anointing Derek as the Supreme Court of Cheating, or even about defending Paulson.
It is, and has always been about "what is the evidence"?
That question remains.
A post that says he has "a story to tell" is equal parts chicken sh*t and intriguing. If he has a story, the time to tell it is now, not "in due time." Don't tease. Talk. If you have something to say that actually contributes to the evidence, then today is a better day than tomorrow.
x100. If these super-oblique social media posts are indeed about Paulsen then I guess I have to add Harvey to the list of runners that I've lost a ton of respect for over this debacle. Whispered insinuations are pathetic. I want to assume he's not wasting time doing "investigations" like the losers here (myself included) so if he's got something to say he should say it now. As should Camille.
There's probably never going to be a smoking gun. It's not about "what is the evidence" because this isn't a court of law. It's been people who understand the race knowing there's no way she ran the way the results say she did, her supporters saying there's no evidence to prove she didn't, Derek jumping in when his specialty is analyzing splits between marathon timing mats (and not this race) and thinking he proved something because he couldn't prove anything and the people who latched onto that, and people who don't understand the race saying "she could have done it because a human being could have done it and she's a human being and there's no evidence that proves she cheated".
I'm guessing you're in the fourth group because if you understood the race, you'd understand why people aren't coming forward publicly and you'd know and trust what Harvey is saying.
We shall see. One reply is this:
"This post is being taken as an accusation of Ashley Paulson. Would you care to confirm or deny that this post is in regard to her run at Badwater?"
How do you think he'll respond to that?
For the 600th time in this thread you've put yourself in the special category of people who have a unique understanding of this race, either from personal experience at the sharp end of it or from talking to several people with that experience.
Name names.
Whether it is a court or law or the court of public opinion, evidence is what we should base a conclusion on.
I'm curious; how does "knowing the race" explain why nobody (literally, not one single person) has come forward with a public accusation or any detail about what they saw?
Finally, whether his post is even about her is unknown. He has been asked directly. Let's see if he responds.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
