Ran in Asics for many years. They made a change to my model I did not like so I switched to Mizuno Wave Riders. I loved them from the 13's to the 24's. The 25's sucked so I am on the quest for my next shoe.
Brooks Ghost-Gave me blisters on my right foot
Saucony-Never liked them and gave me blisters.
On Cloudflow-Comfy until the run. Felt like running on cement blocks
Hoka Clifton-Most comfy shoe ever for walking around. Love them running but only for the first mile. I got blisters on both feet and had to quit a run at mile 3. Want to love them for running but have tried 2 versions years apart. Same ending. They may be too cushioning.
New Balance 1080- Pretty good but kind or narrow and very hot.
Adidas Ultraboost--Ok but they did not hold up well. I might have gotten 250-275 miles out of them.
Altra Escalante-Very comfy but I got plantars while wearing them. (Not sure if it was the cause but I will stay away from them because the zero drop may have contributed)
Back to Asics Cumulus-I like them but don't love them. I am alternating them and the Wave Rider 25's for now. I put a Hoka insert into the Wave Rider 25's and it is much better. Heel hot spot is gone and no blisters.
Karhu Ikoni-Thinking about trying this next. Any thoughts on this?
