Sweet. I can compete on Adderall? This stuff is pharmaceutical cocaine… and is awesome. I highly recommend it.
Any word on whether or not it will be legal in any other countries? Last I checked, with the exception of Mexico, the only country where you can even buy this is the US.
39 year-old Kenenisa Bekele finished the Berlin marathon, but only in 3rd place, what does it mean for his future? A loaded London Marathon is this weekend, we start to take a look at the fields. We end by talking talk to a g...
He is the guy who sat next to Molly on the plane. His account makes sense, hers doesn’t.
If that was the only time with her, I’d be fine with he said/she said. It’s not. There’s a pattern and I believe she’s a liar who likes to fabricate. Everyone tells little white lies and occasionally tells bigger ones. It’s part of being human. People who make up stories for no reason other than to seek attention are more troubled and cannot be trusted. That’s why I don’t take her word for things.
This TUE is BS. She's got through Notre Dame without Adderall but needs it now???? Total BS.
It sounds like she's always had something. I've heard her talk about her childhood and how she got into running. She loved to run in the woods behind her house because she couldn't focus otherwise. Like it burned off some mental energy so her mind wasn't all over the place. I think she was talking of when she was 10.
And she got an eating disorder in college and couldn't tell regular running pain from having a stress fracture or broken bone. Just from a casual observer with no medical background, this seems obsessive compulsive, which often goes hand in hand with ADHD.
I trust she knows what she needs, as well as trusting she's not a CHEATER. People think everyone has ADHD until they have a close friend or child who actually has it.
I have OCD and depression, but not ADHD, but this has helped me learn more about OCD too and its relationship to ADHD.
I believe you, but where/when did she do a pod/feature about getting into running? She sounds like she's been through a ton.

I still think it's a separate guy. But thanks for the podcast (no sarcasm) and I'll listen to it.
What is the likelihood that this TUE is granted? Molly is describing a situation in which if it is not, her career might be over. The way she’s has written about this issue is stark, she’s been deeply suffering for many years, has exhausted many if not all other treatment options without success, and is now dramatically better with this new therapy. Reading between the lines it comes across as though she might prefer to remain intact mentally than to compete as an elite runner if the TUE is denied. I’d also like to reiterate the comments of others that if the dx of adult ADHD is correct, the adderall is simply restoring her to a level playing field, it’s not a performance enhancer, it’s a performance restorer. It would be analogous to an athlete in renal failure taking epo. One could argue that at an elite level no TUEs should be allowed and that restoring health is providing an unfair advantage.

Zach tells a very positive, yet detailed encounter with Molly. She is a very personable, warm, down-to-earth runner!

Same things were said about Shelby.... Ask yourself, if Molly Seidel wasn't white and have an American sounding name, would you still so readily believe her?

He wound up talking about being commissioned to design a T-shirt for her, and it turns out Molly and her agent knew him and were in the process of negotiating the design for it. It didn't work out but Zach was excited to at least know the business side of it.

I get your point, but Zach's interview, which was 20 mins long, actually made it sound like both enjoyed their interaction and they got along well, he didn't mansplain and she wasn't annoyed.
They took a picture without their masks, etc. A lot of people wanted Zach to take pictures of them with MS.
Running's getting the respect it deserves--Zach thinks the airplane guy was stupid and didn't respect her.

I have very low VO2 Max. Should I get a TUE for EPO?
Molly has very high VO2 Max. Now you want to give her an extra advantage.
Oh and by the way, there is serious cash on the line in her sport (prize $$$ and endorsement $$$). A TUE would enable her to make even more $$$$. What do you give the other girls who have a lower VO2 Max than her to make for an even playing field?

So what are you saying, dirty Seidel hating goyem?
It would be nice if she at least acknowledged that adderall could be potentially very performance enhancing. I honestly don't think they should grant an in-competition TUE for it at all. I've run with just sudafed in my system and it jacks you up. I get that she should prioritize her mental health and maybe she really does need adderall, but let's be honest about the actual effects of this drug and what it means for athletic performance.
Adderall raises baseline HR and BP, two things you absolutely don’t want to do for distance running. It’s not performance enhancing, and it’s largely on the list for the potential focus effects in shooting sports.
