I don't like TUEs, but her transparency is commendable. And she gets bonus points for being one of a very small number of American distance pros who did not stand by Shelby.
It would be nice if she at least acknowledged that adderall could be potentially very performance enhancing. I honestly don't think they should grant an in-competition TUE for it at all. I've run with just sudafed in my system and it jacks you up. I get that she should prioritize her mental health and maybe she really does need adderall, but let's be honest about the actual effects of this drug and what it means for athletic performance.
Me too woman! Get me some of that so I can reduce my caloric intake, increase my metabolism and be euphoric before my race if I time it just right (weeks without and then 30mg 9am day of race).

For what it's worth, I actually gained weight on (generic) Adderall. Without it, I probably burn an extra 500 calories a day just by fidgeting.

So if Shelby had sought a TUE for her nandrolone and been transparent about it, it would all be cool?
Do you actually believe Molly seeking a TUE and Shelby getting busted for nandrolone are comparable?
I applaud the transparent but agree that in competition TUEs should not be a thing. If you are on medication that can be performance enhancing you just can't race. No different than being on prescription opioids and not being alowed to operate heavy machinery.
I agree that health should be prioritized but that means you sit it out.

This TUE is BS. She's got through Notre Dame without Adderall but needs it now???? Total BS.

If Shelby truly was innocent why try to sweep it under the rug for 6 months instead on full transparency.
