She is entitled to privacy....but...with so many fans it would be nice if threw us a bone. She can run 5000? Road racing? She did cherry blossom. She is a goat, we will support her decision, whatever it is.
A strong case for the GOAT of US running. What a phenomenal career!
Yeah, even her NCAA records have held up for 13 years. The 5K record is on borrowed time but even with today's faster times and super shoes sub-4 1500 will be tough for a collegian.
Uhm, I did and just recently. No regrets. Well, at least related to my daughter.
Why would you say that?
I’ll be 59 when my youngest daughter graduates HS. My husband will be 62. This is not something to mock or be horrified by.
No mocking or horror. Older parents are becoming the norm, especially among active athletes. In mountain towns in CO it's on display all around as potential parents push parenthood further in the name of athletics and active lifestyle. Delaying parenthood is a choice to hedge for individual fun and performance at the front side of life. What's not on display with those "60 y.o's when their kids graduate" is those parents being grandparents while they can still walk and play and go on multi-generational family vacations which is typically even more fun and satisfying than just parenthood. It's a tradeoff for sure, but not an equal experience in total.
