Just came across a pair of size 9.5 Harambees, khaki/red/black, for $11.99 at the local Dunham's sporting goods store. They were on the clearance rack of course, and probably were the only pair of spikes in the whole store. I mean they barely even carry running shoes at that place, I was so completely shocked to see Harambees. Would've bought as many as they had in stock and sold the rest for $30 or something, but the 9.5s were the only pair in the store. Saleswoman had no clue why I would want them, she said they were "a couple years old" and had been on the clearance rack for quite a while. I can't imagine how a Dunham's store got a pair of them in the first place.
Anyone else have a story like this? Do high-quality shoes just pop out of the woodwork at sporting goods stores a lot? The ironic thing is, I was debating whether to get spikes or flats for indoor this year-- that decision was just made much easier!
