I have had 2 hemorroids banded today and this is the first time I have had this treatment. I'd been bleeding for almost a year so the surgeon decided to do something about it. Apparently it's a common procedure and the doctor said I can get back to normal after a couple of days. Has anyone had this done. I don't know if it's just me but it hurt like hell, the worst pain ever!! I'm still sore now 6 hours later and how bad does it feel when your guts have been pumped with gas!!! I was told this was just a routine procedure but it I feel like someone is shoving a hot poker up by butt. Maybe I have a low pain threshold, I don't know. I had a crap a few hours ago and there was no blood at all, which was good, but it hurt like hell!!!
As someone who runs around 80-90 miles a week with 2 quality workouts I hope this doesn't set me back for too long. I was really starting to get in shape, for me, not super fast but maybe sub 33:00 10k form. Anyone had this done? When did you resume training/hard efforts/races?
Any feedback would be really appreciated.
