Oh I already realize that your concern ends with yourself. You'll get mildly ill and someone down the line dies from it because you helped passed it along. You're young and physically healthy. What's the problem, right?
You can also speed through a school zone and risk only a minor blemish on your car. Doesn't mean it's the right thing to do.
I already know the "pandemic" (using that term generously) will break out again, at some point I'll get mildly ill from it, and that mask mandates do almost nothing. Eventually you will come to that realization too.

You lose all credibility when you use ridiculous analogy comparing speeding through a school zone vs passing Covid for not wearing a mask.
Please show actual data that masking actually works. There is none.
Japanese have been wearing masks precovid whenever someone’s sick. There’s no data whatsoever that there’s less rates of cold or flu. It’s just for courtesy.

You don't exactly help your case by citing Japan.....people in the US are claiming the pandemic is over here and we've as many COVID deaths in the last 10 days as Japan has had in the entire 2 years.
Masking cut down on the amount of virus expelled by carriers vs. not wearing masks. That was the whole point of it. No mask short of a very well fitted respirator was going to keep you from catching it, but it did cut down on the amount of airborne virus and prevented many people from inhaling enough viral load to become sick.
As Twostitch stated about Japan, it was a courtesy measure. It had to be mandated for a society that doesn't exhibit much courtesy.
Looking at the approval polls, are liberals in a position to give people advice on how to get people to like them?
lol......very telling that a MA Ga head confuses people 'liking you' with people 'believing you'
Biden's approval ratings are low because he's not a great President and not very inspiring.
see....that's not so hard now is it? Now you try it. Why were Trump's ratings so low?
it's also telling these numbskulls keep having to revisingtheir outrage. Everyone of them claimed "masks / lockdowns will last forever ". Like everything else about the pandemic they were wrong. Of course they can never admit that, so they move on to the next talking point.
"Deerrrr, there going to be another variant"
"derrr, red wave"
"derr, derr omg some people still want to wear mask, they are socialist"

One million vs 20,000
You be the judge.
Damn, you first use ridiculous analogy. Now, you’re confusing correlation vs causation.
Mask mandate was in full force in many parts of the US for the past 2 years. How is the death rate in those areas not similar to Japan?
Perhaps, there are other variables besides masks? Umm, Japanese obesity rate is like tenth of US? Japanese has the longest lifespan?
Congrats on pointing yourself out as the dumbazz of Letsrun for the day.
Besides, mask mandate is ending for most of this country. As it should.
weird, what about those in red states with similar death rates that had no mask policy. Did they do it wrong? Why did washington do it better? What is your metric for that?
Exactly. The mask mandate was the dumbest thing to exist.
Most states have now realized this and people are finally realizing how dumb it’s been.
Let’s see all of the dumb issues so far:
1. School children needing to wear masks all day at school.
2. Restaurants requiring you to wear a mask walk to your table.
Unfortunately, King County(Seattle) is not set to end mask mandate. It’s so ridiculous that it’s not ending here.
Let’s be real, when we talk about politics or mask mandate in Washington, it’s about Seattle.
i really hope Seattle will change.
*** please note. this is called moving the goal posts. When you're wrong about everything, it's all you have.
I’m confused. I’m just posting a fact that King County is not set to end their mask mandate. It sucks.
And when people talk about Washington state’s politics, it’s about Seattle. Washington state is blue bc Seattle and its surrounding area is blue and rest of the state besides some college towns and near Portland are all red.
what goal post did I move? I’m so confused with your post.

I LOVE when COVID morons make it so very obvious they are morons.
How’s a n = 300k randomized, controlled study in Bangladesh? Shows that even 40% vs 15% community masking prevalence decreases COVID cases.

There’s no data that showed that masks actually work. Not talking about N95 masks but the cloth masks that most people wear. Japanese have been wearing masks before Covid. If masks actually worked, how come cold and flu infection rate is not significantly lower in Japan?

If you think US mask wearing resembled anything even close to Japan during their outbreaks then you are a fool. How many posts like the following have we seen on here?
"WHO aKshully wares an MAsk anymore???????!!??!WHY??? I havwnt seen one for Months except on the looonies!!!"

Read my prior post.
community masking in a symptom-agnostic manner reduces the spread in the critical pre-symptomatic period. Just slapping masks on sick people doesn’t help as much as people think because most symptomatic people reduce their social contacts anywhere.
Look at cold/flu rates in US during COVID to see what widescale community masking does to less transmissible respiratory (low R0) viruses (Hint: almost eliminates).
