Feb 18 2022 - Andrew Scheer - Parliament is suspended! Before MPs even finish debating Trudeau’s massive power grab, the House of Commons gets shut down. (NE...
Friday meetings of the House of Commons and the Senate over the invocation of the Emergencies Act in response to the demonstrations were cancelled due to safety concerns.
Government House Leader Mark Holland later confirmed that the debate will resume on Saturday, with Speaker Anthony Rota adding the House will sit from 7 a.m. to midnight Eastern.
Debate is still expected to continue Sunday and Monday. Holland said the final vote on the measure will be held Monday at 8 p.m. Eastern.

I typically give due respect for the police, but given the overwhelmingly peaceful context of this gathering/protest, this is what real pigs do.
When cities are turned upside-down by burning, looting and murder in 2020 (I know, I was there) the media and politicians are "We need to give them space, let them air their grievances". When the protests are civil, accommodating, even deferential in 2022, they send in the Gestapo on horseback and trample the rights of citizens literally and figuratively, and the media and Hairdo Hitler cries "Insurrection! emergency! racism!"
I'm actually surprised this isn't getting more attention and pushback. Maybe I'm missing something, but to me it seems that the sequence is:
a) Mostly peaceful protests come in against Trudeau for overstepping.
b) Trudeau wants to suppress the protests, but can't legally do it, so he grants himself emergency powers and suspends bank accounts of those involved and takes other unusual measures.
c) Parliament opposes the use of emergency powers and schedules a vote to strike them down.
d) Trudeau orders a police raid under his emergency powers.
e) Because of his (potentially unlawful) exercise of aggression toward the protesters, he fears violence against Parliament (no evidence there will be any) and shuts them down so they can't vote to remove his overstepping use of emergency powers.
That sure feels like what Trump would have done if the Constitution were different. It sure feels like a dictatorship in Canada. But people are taking this lying down. What am I missing?
With most of the state/provincial police gathered in Ottawa, other towns and cities in Ontario are ripe for a crime free for all. Shows you how desperate Trudeau is to maintain the control he fiends for when he calls police from other jurisdictions in to trample people with riding horses and assault elderly people and pepper spray women. These protestors are peaceful. This police action and Trudeau's orders are illegal. And guess what, of those 100+ arrested, they've all been released immediately. This is all a dog and pony show for the liberals with the help of the mainstream media, who carefully report on cherry picked camera shots and interviews and don't give an accurate representation of what's truly occurring. There's youtube videos up that show the truth. Trudeau's time is limited. He needs to be the one imprisoned, not the innocent and peaceful protestors who are rallying against communism.
Thank you for at least confirming once and for all that your posture of forcing masks vaccines on everybody "for the common good" was just a smokescreen proxy for your closet fascism.
Trudeau tries to project the same childlike innocence as a lot of virtue-signaling liberals. Problem is it makes him look like a child. Backfires badly.
Lol, right winger clown who started this thread and right winger clowns who gathered in the circle jerk to gaslight about this go home DEVASTATED!

The real fascists are the right winger fascist clowns who disproportionately constitute and drive the antivaxxer movement, not sane people who are willing to be adults and tolerate measures that would have rendered covid a moderate flu and ended the pandemic and its toxic effects on democracy earlier. Modern right wingers and antivaxxers are a great example of what narcissism and a complete lack of self awareness can do to a person (aside from the habitual self-humiliation)
