Of course we are going to see more and more people sprinting sub-10.00 100m. Sub-10 100m is like sub-9.85 100m now. Fifty-five years ago, sub-10.00 100m meant something. The shoes and tracks are too fast now for us to believe one or more demographic group sprinting sub-10 100m is a sign of a trend.

There is only one white sprinter up there in Boling. I can do that for all the conferences, yep geek/nerd and it's the same thing maybe one or two at the most white sprinters making these 4x1 teams. It's very obvious those with western African roots have unique physical traits that give them advantages when it comes to speed and agility. There are no white Devin Hesters, Billy White Shoes Johnon's, Dana Hall's.
Yes there are differences in us humans, how anyone can't see that is a...????....when it can't be more obvious. Just turn on a football game, basketball game, track meet..BOOM.there it is,
perhaps youre correct. But Im just giving it the eyeball test, and I think theres more competitive and elite white sprinters (including hurdles) than weve seen in a long time. It doesnt take many to be a noticeable improvement over what weve had in American sprinting for last 40 years.
Here’s the problem with that logic: I can use it to “explain” why there are very few blacks at the highest ends of Fortune 500 companies. “Turn on the NFL, you’ll see very few whites” is essentially the same as “walk into the boardroom, there are few if any blacks” so therefore “blacks must be, on average, cognitively inferior.”
But I’m not prepared to make that observation, based on those facts alone. Not suggesting you would agree with that reasoning either. But that’s why I am slow to assume that those of white Europe’s heritage are inherently slower, just because we don’t see as many in high profile speed-based sports. There could logically be other reasons.

There is no problem with that fact, it is not logic is how things actually are. Like I said just turn on an NFL game, NBA game, NCAA football, any USA track meet and there it is, what more can be said?
Here are 10 sprinters with western African roots..
Usain Bolt
Justin Gatlin
Yohan Blake
Tyson Gay
Donovan Bailey
Asafa Powell
Christian Coleman
Carl Lewis
Mo Greene
Bob Hayes
Now how far do I go before we see a white guy who belongs?
There are over 380,000,000 in West Africa. Jamaica has 3,000,000 that’s over 120 times difference. Who has more sprinting championships under their belt? it’s not ONLY about culture but it’s a large part. Access and exposure has a lot to do with it as well. But… the heritage of the North American Africans is also more than just cultural.
There are plenty of fast whites in the world. I don’t believe it’s ever been conclusively proven that men and women of West African descent are inherently faster than whites. In fact, speed and explosiveness seem to be scattered among all races. I suspect that a combination of fewer whites going out for track, coaches pushing blacks towards the sprints and whites toward distance, and whites deciding that they can’t possibly be as fast as they’re black counterparts, probably account for most of it.
Here is just the just the All Time SEC 4x1 relay the fantasy version

On the all time world U20 list for the 100m:
Christopher LeMaitre is still 9th
The vast majority of the guys ranked ahead of LeMaitre had winds of +1.6 or faster while LeMaitre had +0.2. LeMaitre is still arguably one of the best junior sprinters ever, despite the literal thousands of college freshman and even some sophomores in the US that were u20 that have come and gone in the NCAA since he competed.
Adam Gemili is 13th
Yoshihide Kiryu from Japan is tied for 4th
Matt Boling is tied for 40th
German sprinter Sven Matthes is still tied for 56th with Noah Lyles!
Filippo Tortu from Italy and Jake Doran from Australia are tied for 62
Denis Dimitrov from Bulgaria is tied for 68
Justin Gatlin is tied for 25th and Christian Coleman is tied for 80th on this same list for point of reference.
Sprinters of non-west African descent probably make up somewhere around 10-15% of the top 100 on the all-time U20 list for the 100m. The list is dominated by American and Caribbean sprinters where track is far more popular and high school and college programs produce a lot more U20 athletes.
Sprinting had a wide racial diversity right up to about 10.2 in the record progression, then after the 1950s the whites sort of dropped out of the picture for no apparent reason.
Racial supremacy theories about this are groundless, more likely track lost popularity among whites. This was right around the time youth soccer became popular, mainly among the middle class suburbanites, who were mostly white at the time. Despite appearances, soccer is better prep for endurance running than sprints.
More recently, white kids gravitated to the new sport/pastime of skateboarding

Yes, this is all true.
Also, we need to factor in the stereotyping by teachers and coaches, pushing black kids into sprinting, and the related lack of self-belief from young white sprinters.
Afro-Americans dominated boxing, particularly the heavier divisions, for decades, and there was the same racial 'fast twitch muscle' theories for that. That's all changed over the last couple of decades.
Look at the shameful way that Alan Wells has been dismissed, almost erased from the history books, simply because he was white, and therefore assumed to have only won his Olympic gold because of the boycott. Yet, he beat all the top (black) Americans in 80 and 81, and his times were close to 10 flat performing mostly without blocks (first time he used them was in Moscow) at sea level 40 years ago.
