The sprints in Track events are certainly still dominated by black men and women. But it seems that we’re starting to see more and more white sprinters who have legitimate chance to win. ( including some really good hurdlers). Mary Beth Price ran a 7.04 to win 60; Abby Steiner had fastest time by far in 60 and 200m ( set records in both), and Boling won 200 again. When is the last time the SEC had a non black women's and men’s 200 champ before these two? The point is, as more whites succeed as sprinters, hopefully it will attract more fast white kids into sprinting. i enjoy watching track and field , especially the sprints, no matter if they're all black or not, but its nice to see other races or ethnic groups starting to break through to show they can do it too. The great thing about track is the timer doesn't lie. If you're good, you're good, no matter what color.
