I ran a lot during my first two pregnancies, similar to what you are doing. On the days I didn't run, I would hike, do a stair climber or eliptical machine. I had 1st baby at 36 weeks, and the 2nd baby at 37 weeks. Both babies between 6 and 6 1/2 lbs. and very healthy, no problems. With baby #3, I ran a lot the first half and then had to really cut back. Partly because I didn't have the trails to run on like I had when pregnant with 1 and 2, instead did miles on the road or gym treadmill and it's not as convenient to stop and pee every mile or so as it was on trails. I supplemented with eliptical and stairmaster. I had this baby 5 days late and she weighed 7 1/2 lbs. My last baby, I couldn't run very much, mainly because when I did, I tended to spot a bit due to a weaker pelvic floor, but I still put in several miles a week and also trained on a stairmaster and did a lot of weights. This time the baby was 10 days late and weighed 9 lbs., but was the easiest labor yet. In fact she was born within 10 minutes of finishing a 2 mile very slow jog. I had her on my bathroom floor! Just listen to your body and don't push yourself. I think I pushed myself more with my first. Maybe why she was born a bit early, maybe not. All my babies were healthy and all my labors considerably fast compared to most moms. Plus I was able to have drug free births I think because I am athletic and stayed in shape. Makes for a faster recovery for the mom and a safer birth for the baby. Enjoy this time. And congratulations!
