Does anyone have some suggestions for working through inflammation of the sciatic nerve?
i'm wondering, too.
Ice and E-stim (both on lower back and piriformis areas), lots of butt/hamstring stretching (see a PT), pool-running, avoiding sitting for long periods, massaging the piriformis or sitting on a tennis ball to stretch it out.
Most importantly: stop running! Once the nerve is "hot" it is really hard to cool it down, so stop running completely until it goes away (sciatica seems to come back really easily).
