I am going to have to get some research experience at a university this summer. Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this, could let me know how time consuming it is/how easy it is to train while doing this. It's in physics. Thanks.

impossible to say. it could be working all the time, or you could get off really easy. if you're in a specific program, ask someone who's done that program. if you're just working directly with a researcher, just go ask him directly. also depends if you're working in a group or individually. if you're doing your own project, you can likely set your own hours.
