Ask about things that are important to you like school size, if they have a good program in the major you're planning on taking.
As for the running program, ask what type of training they promote (if that matters to you) along with mileage, what they are looking for in terms of times for scholarship money and walk-on spots. How their recruiting class is looking for the next year, how do you compare to the other recruits, how many guys they have graduating. Whether or not it's a mandatory redshirt your freshman year, etc.
Hope I helped.
You can ask any question you want and they'll tell you whatever they want to. The visit is an opportunity to assess all the intangible things and to observe what actually takes place on the team. Just try to have a good time, see how you fit in with the team and surroundings, and observe as much as you can.
Ask if there's drug testing and seem worried about it.
Make sure to ask about the killer Runner's Parties and if alcohol is provided to the freshman on a regular basis.
ask what color car you get when you sign.

I don't think there are many fine institutions that don't provide that for that simple need.
Talk to the coach but more for getting a grasp on his attitude and how he meshes with you. I think it is more important to talk to the team members/see how they act as a team. Ask how their first year went, what a common week is, what their goals are for the next season and how adaptive the coach is to changes in their needs.
As stated before the coach will tell you whatever he can to get you to go there.
1. Get an ID from someone who is 21 and get into a bar.
2. Be sure that they fix you up with some slag.
3. Don't let her know that you're still in high school.
4. Wear a rubber.
