That said, I'd rather go to the USTFCCCA convention than the USATF convention every time (and I have no dog in this fight...I am a media voter for both the Jesse Owens/Jackie Joyner Kersee USATF AOY award as well as The Bowerman USTFCCCA award).

Wow, man thank you for writing this up! THIS is exactly the convention and the sport in a nutshell you hit the nail on the head brother!
I think a lot of what you said is true. However, if you think there are "secrets" to success you have unrealistic expectations. It is also weird that you think anyone you meet at convention is a suck up and a fake. That's just another tired, bitter take.
Interesting take...I have found the interactions with coaches very fulfilling. One year, I remember speaking with a coach about the HJ. And one of those "secrets" he was holding onto, worked only for a few of his athletes, but only those who were accustomed to a particular training.
It's not so much the secrets are being withheld, but rather they don't always work for the majority or they're specific elements of an athlete's training that's been with the coach for some time. When presenting, sure the information shared is sometimes vague or very basic but speak with the presenters after their presentation and I'm sure you can get the deets.
Urban Meyer fired. Jacksonville should open up in a few weeks.
Wrong sport pal. Convention week and no rumors? Who’s retiring, who’s back from retirement who’s getting fired?

Looks like this took over Barrett’s former spot. Guessing there’s an opening at College of Charleston now?

What happened to that program? They used to be dominant in LEC and had a decent amount of kids at baby nats. Admin issues? Budget? Bad coaching?

admin seems very supportive, actually. Went through a period of bad coaching/no-recruiting before the 2019 change, but she seemed to be righting the ship.

No, she wasn't. The team was performing poorly. Sick a fork in them they are done.

the cupboard was bare when she arrived. but the swift departure is baffling. Again, athletic admin there is supportive and experienced.

Carlson has decided not to take the NAZ Elite track position and will continue at Notre Dame. Rosario was all in on him so now is looking for someone else to start up the track side of the club.

Look for Jared Cornfield to take the position.

Why is there so much turnover here?
I want to know how many folks have tested positive that attended the convention? Heard it is turning out to be a super spreader!
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
