That's actually my point. Being that they're "UCLA" recruiting shouldn't be a chore. They have resources necessary to function efficiently. Being that they are who they are, they shouldn't have a tough time building a solid culture. I wasn't insinuating that they can achieve without work or effort but they have a head start compared to most programs around the country.
What's the deal there? I can't imagine a reasonable answer as to why they haven't been doing well considering who they are. What am I missing here?
“Considering who they are”…?
Do you think P5 programs run themselves? Recruit themselves? Staff themselves? Need no strategic vision? I’m being completely serious here.

Yes, I understood you. We probably are in agreement about this situation. Ucla has worldwide recognition and is considered the best public university in the US. That all helps.
But in the PAC12 do you think USC and Oregon recruit? YES, they recruit like crazy! There’s no coasting in that conference. That is my point here.
Exciting opportunity in Honolulu, HI for University of Hawai`i at Manoa - Athletics Department as a Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field Coach (Throws Coach)
So when does WSU clean house???? Team has been so bad for 8 years now... Has to be done soon... Staff leaving... athletes in portal... near dead last at Pac-12's every year. Rich storied program gone to shambles.... Sad
Word is it won't be long, likely after NCAAs. Jumps and sprints coach announced they're leaving not too long ago and word is the new distance hire might be leaving after she got wind of everything. Doubt the director keeps his job after June.
Don’t think there will be much major movement like last year. Olympic years are always huge, last year, 2016, monster movements. Year after is always small. 2024 is next great shift. Sorry if you missed it. Keep working on your resumes fellas

When & where did they make that announcement? I haven’t heard that from either of them.
