Someone explain to me why Penn State is not ranked. At 6-3 we have the same record as Auburn and Wisconsin who are ranked #17&18. We beat them both. I know losing to Illinois was a debacle, but we were playing with an injured qb. We would have beaten Iowa if he stayed in the game
And don't forget, the committee is supposed to take key injuries into account, but I guess only when it suits them. Their focus on good wins vs. bad losses also changes all the time. They often use the "good wins" justification to ignore bad losses -- Georgia lost at home to a terrible South Carolina team in 2019, but that didn't hurt them in the committee's eyes. But now, for PSU, it's an unforgivable bad loss that negates their 2 quality wins over ranked teams. Arkansas, by the way, has only beaten 2 teams with a winning record, 1 of which is ranked. PSU has beaten 5, 2 of which are ranked. Yet between PSU and Arkansas, which one is ranked?
