Even the much maligned north isn't that bad. Probably the worst team in the north Iowa State kicked the crap out of Iowa who is one of the strongest teams in the big 10.
Wow you're stupid. Iowa State is second in the Big XII North, far from the "worst team", and Iowa is seventh in the Big Ten, far from "one of the strongest teams". And it was a rivalry game so anything can happen. Iowa always manages to lose an early game against an opponent they should have easily beaten. It has been this way since 1996 (Tulsa).
The Big Ten is very strong this year, and it will be proven come bowl season. Michigan State beat Notre Dame and now they are 2-4 against Big Ten opponents. The conference doesn't have the contenders up front like some other conferences, but no one can line up with the middle of the Big Ten.
I have to give major props to the person who picked Miami over VPI. I honestly thought that the Hokies looked near-invincible this year. Poor Alabama though. They are the real deal, but won't get a chance to prove it. I think they would give USC a better game than anyone else.
