Hi all, I'm looking for some help with a pacing strategy for an upcoming half. Currently I've been running around 70 miles per week with the goal of breaking 78 minutes in January, which I feel I'm in the shape for right now. My girlfriend asked me to jump into a half with her this coming Saturday that has 1000 feet of elevation. I've never done a half with that much elevation, so my question is, how should I go about pacing this race? I haven't raced since before covid, and based off some specific workouts I believe I could break 78 minutes on a flat course.
