Honestly this really reminding me of what happened to women like Gabby Petito and Shannan Watts, as a man, some of us need to CHILL. Just leave her alone if the relationship doesn't work out. No need to kill her smh...

One of my favourites. I'm utterly crushed. Violence against women, and domestic violence in general, is still a serious issue in Kenya. RIP . Condolences to her friends and family.

This is not even a disaster. It is a tragedy.
May the good and merciful Lord welcome her into His kingdom.
Tirop would most likely have been the next greatest marathon star now that Keitany and even Kiplagat (Edna) are retiring.
We have lost it all.

Gabby Petito, Shannan Watts, poor Sarah Everard in the UK and now the talented and accomplished Agnes Tirop.
I too say this as a man: male fragility is universal. Sadly, these women won't be the last victims of delicate egos that need to be coddled.

There are old threads here where I mention what a beautiful looking runner she is and how her style would be better suited for the roads. That coward has robbed us of that.
Still feeling broken.
The husband has reportedly been arrested. They were reportedly having marital problems. Barnaba Korir says he spoke with her on Monday and he was not aware of the problems.
The husband, Emmanuel Rotich, has been arrested. He'd fled all the way to Mombasa on the Kenyan coast. Her family say they've had to intervene several times because Rotich was physically abusing her. Don't know if it's appropriate to post their last pics together, but here they are:

^ Noticed devastated-looking Janeth Jepkosgei and Mary Keitany in the crowd outside the crime scene.
JUSTICE FOR AGNES!

The media and the police are using different names. Emmanuel Rotich and Ibrahim Rotich could be different people.
Arrested in Mombasa intending to make a run for the Tanzanian border which is a mere 2 hours away by car. If he'd made it to South Coast and got on a boat, he'd have gotten away for good.

Plus she is only 25. She had another ten years of being on top both in track and road racing.
I still wonder what Sammy Kamau would have done since he also left us at a very youn g age.
Nice gesture by Paris Marathon winner, Angela Tanui.

^Sorry. Angela Tanui won Amsterdam, not Paris.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
