Fury is 33. Fury and Ali both fighting at 33 would be very bad news for Ali. Also, yes about Ali which makes a 6' 9" guy harder to hit in the face. Ali struggled with Frazer and lost to Spinks. Fury would destroy Ali.
Obviously the comparison would be when Ali and Fury were at their peak. For Ali, that would have been during 60s before his 3.5 year break. He had outstanding hand speed, mobility and could duck out of the way of punches. He wasn't a body puncher but I think he would have been fast enough to tattoo Fury's face with jabs and straight rights.
Tyson would swarm Fury and fight from the inside and land heavy blows to the body. Foreman was a very hard puncher with much better technique than Wilder. He also had more stamina than Wilder showed on Saturday.
I agree with this I love Tyson Fury and he's clearly the best of this era and perhaps better than the prime Klitschko brothers, but it's hard for me to believe that he would have beaten the likes of Foreman, Ali, Holmes, Frazier etc. No disgrace in that as they were the best era in 120 + years.
Not to mention that these guys would have been a couple of inches bigger with more muscle had they been born later. Jor Frazier was born dirt poor and his family had to move across America to save themselves from being lynched by the local hillbillies.
