LR should coach Spencer. Or heck, I will.
Spencer, run an hour, twice daily for three weeks, then call me.

good. Not living at home, building his own personal/professional life.
Maybe Brooks will throw some money his way to film their workouts.

It's sad that kids now, like Spencer Brown and Drew Hunter, are helpless without mommy and daddy.

Spencer could take the route of fellow Connecticut runner Donn Cabral by constantly showing up to his old high school to sign autographs for teenagers before eventually going to grad school at UConn even though he has an Ivy League education
Law school selection matters less than say business school selection when it comes to career success (if measured in earnings). If you want to stay in Connecticut long-term UCONN is a good option.

I do think he should find a new coach. His dad was his coach in high school. Spencer is a grown man now, with cool earrings and sunglasses
That clown Seb Coe was coached by his Dad
More like, *Brooks Beast drops Spencer for underperforming*
Spencer in today's video: "I'm not a young buck anymore"
lol you're like 23 years old, mid-D prime
Your former teammate Garret Heat is 35 years old and crushed you over the mile this year

We need more lessons from the draft dodging coward John Wayne.
Unlike Jamin, I bet Spencer could still break 15 minutes for 5K.

Everybody has been all up in arms because of the social media profile. How long does it take to film, edit and post a video a week? They are pro runners, you do your workouts and than need to rest, you can be working on your computer while resting? I think it is nice to see some behind the scenes of some of these running clubs.
Ally O now?
If I had to guess each of those videos had 2-4 hours of editing work. More for any that require preproduction. Not a full time job but definitely time consuming.

What wheels???? If he equaled his PR this year it would have put him at #58 just in the USA. It would have been #38 in the NCAA.
I was "reading rainbow" but I'm on my computer now, so I'm the guy you responded to.
To clarify, I just mean he's young enough that he (likely) has the same pure speed he did in college. Not saying his 800 was good this year. He still has the tools to train correctly and improve upon his PR. His training this year did not help him, but he still has the potential for improvement.
I'll say it, he doesn't appear to have the talent, that last bit that makes the difference - but there is one sure way for him to make the jump from where he is at now to times that would get him a professional contract - the age old proven method - he's just got to find himself the right Mexican food truck. That's the difference he needs. Otherwise, he'll be a non-professional runner who makes running videos.
He only went after low hanging fruits using his talent. It's probably best for him to quit. T&F is so competitive now. You have to be so focused or super talented to make a living out of it.
I graduated from college. LEFT Boulder, returned to my home town, bought a computer, connected it to a phone line, struggled to make it do anything, and didn't train correctly for years. One big difference between me and Spencer, though.
I didn't think I was a washed-up old guy at 23.
What a loser.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
