We ran a race on Wednesday, and it was overall the worst race I have ever run. My legs just kind of turned into blocks (it felt like they were filled with lead) on the uphill. It was really hard to move my legs. Our team ended up taking every race, JV and varsity alike. But my legs are beat up right now.
We have an important race coming up, Temecula Twilight (which is the best race to PR) on next Saturday. I don't want my legs to be feeling like this, and I have about a week to get back into good condition.
Today we have a ladder workout in the afternoon, and then a long run tomorrow morning. I don't know if I should try and take a day off or not. Ultimately, it is the decision of my coach, keep in mind.
What can I do Letsrun? Should I let my coach know, or is this normal?
