What do you think? XC times don’t matter?
As every athlete achieves success in there own right, there’s a huge difference between a team that averages 17min 5k vs teams that average 15:40’s. If a 17min team wins a meet. In recruiting you you want to see a guy or girl can run solid on a XC Course before the college XC course.
Personal success of an athlete no matter place and PR is always the goal, however… times tho for recruiting?
“Can we please stop utilizing xc finish times as a way to validate ones ability.
Even if it's the same course every year, do you know who marked the course?
What was the weather like?
I want to know WHO YOU BEAT or HOW BIG WAS YOUR WIN?
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.”
