Crispy is hilarious. Did it for the attention.
He must think they can win something. He moves for passion, not money.
They must look a better project than City, PSG and Juve from the perspective of a serial winner.
Interesting.
Maybe a DM coming?
Pogba/Rashford Ronaldo Sancho
Bruno
is as good as any front 4 in the world.
Shaw Maguire Varane ??
is on par with the top defenders.

Lol. 480k/week.
They were talking about that guy in like the 1990's as one of these "3 R's" from Brazil. He's gotta be about 60 years old by now, how is he still a top player?
As a long-time Man Utd fan I'm not unequivocally happy about this transfer.
+ Experience
+ Professional certified winner
+ Will deliver goals if serviced
- Age. Not a spring chicken anymore.
- Squad harmony. Manager/player dynamics. Will he be able to get in line and do his best for the team? Cavani has the #7 which is his preferred number. We don't need any "bigger than the team" sh*t.
- Set pieces. He brings a definite aerial threat, but he should not go near free kicks or penalties.
- Upcoming talent suppression (Greenwood & Elanga in particular). They will learn from him, but this comes at the expense of game time.
I can't help but feel like this is another one of Woodward's (yes, he's still there) and the Glazer's 'marquee signings', which will keep the Ronaldo legacy clean (no MCFC) and pump those marketing numbers up both while he's active and in retirement as an ambassador.

He's actually 2600 years old.

Hope they can give City some competition for the League.
Kane and Spurs have a tougher job now to get top 4.
Hope he delivers some good highlights.

Ronaldo goes for too much on every free kick but I wouldn't say he's bad on penalties. He seems to be improving with age. During group stage Euros this year he was virtually the only one with a good record on penalties.
Messi is the guy who shouldn't go anywhere near the penalty spot.
I appreciate the way Ronaldo has transitioned his game to current strengths and ability level. You've just got to accept that he's now a poacher with long stretches of total uninvolvement.
Not that one. This one is from Portugal. Even that other one is nowhere near 60.

Big talk for someone on a running website littered with what many would call nerds.
Well, if you can’t beat em just download a FIFA Allstar team.

So funny when people who CAN'T play soccer or NEVER played soccer make such Jack A** comments. Only "Real" athletes need to apply.
FYI-
Nice homophobic comment, what would your boyfriend say?

Hmmmmm... Ronaldo is Brazilian?
News to me.
Also a long time United supporter who's not thrilled about this transfer either. It seemed like they had finally improved their tranfer strategy (shuddering recalling all the "big names" they've brought in since SAF retired) and were getting after talented players before they were past their prime (Sancho, VdB) but this feels like they are sliding back. Maybe I'm naive to think it was going to happen in the first place, but I feel like Ronaldo getting a two year contract hurts our chances of getting Haaland next summer and that's really who I'd like because he'd set United up at CF for a decade.
A very good transfer for Manchester United. They were able to secure his services for a very low transfer fee. His salary is understandable given his history. He had a good career previously at Man U so it's no wonder he wanted to return.
Having said that, I'm not a Man U supporter by any means and more of an "anyone but Man U" supporter. Hopefully Man U will lose every match they enter this season especially when Sir Alex is present in the stands.
This transfer has turned out to be an unmitigated disaster.
The situation honestly feels like being mated in check.
Summer of 2021: Ronaldo is changing clubs. Only a few top clubs can afford him.
Option 1: Ronaldo goes to a non-PL club.
Option 2: Ronaldo goes to Man City. PR-disaster for Man Utd. 'Legacy' ruined. Joins the Judas-list with Tevez, Fabregas, Owen, Sol Campbell, etc. Every positive involvement and statistic by Ronaldo will be used in a narrative against the club.
Option 3: Ronaldo 'comes home'. PR-dream. Engagement skyrockets, narrative under control. Sponsors rejoice. However, from a sporting POV it doesn't make sense as it interrupts the process. The team is unbalanced and undercoached, and doesn't the have capacity to support pure poachers. The difference between a coordinated press with Cavani as the tip of the spear, to Ronaldo jogging around is astounding.
Option 1 would have been the optimal outcome, but unfortunately it came down to a choice between 2 and 3. The shareholders/board knew his marketing value and from their outlook the transfer made sense. So they decided to force an undroppable 36 yo poacher onto the team because the alternative was worse for shareholders in the short term. An elite striker can't offload all defensive duties to the rest of the team and hope to be fed enough chances to use his qualities on the other end of the pitch. In the modern game it's almost just as important to be the first layer of defense.
If only Cavani and Matic were 5-6 years younger.
