I’ll just list my previous times and what training I did to achieve that.
9th grade- didn’t do cross country
10th grade- no mileage in the summer, ran a 24:22 best
11th grade- ran 102 ish miles in the summer, ran a 21:59
12th - ran 152 miles this summer.
Our xc team also does a mile time trial at the beginning and end of the season. My sophomore beginning time was 6:57 and at the end of the season it was 6:19. This year I ran a 6:05 and it was actually kind of fun and I kicked around the 300m mark, so I know I had a lot left in the tank & probably could’ve run at least 5:59.
Anyway, please post your thoughts on what my 5k and mile goal time should be. I was thinking 19:50 for the 5k, but I’m not sure if that’s . achievable. or a good goal.
