Who is she addressing exactly?
Who is 'talking s##t', has said she is "done", and is trying to take her place on the all-time list from her?
Was that a section of the media, her rivals, someone in particular, or the voice in her immediately after a bad race?

Just to thick? Awesome, dude.

It is a trumpian strategy. Create a bogeyman,,,the media, deep-state, immigrants, RINOs, the system, whatever and convince people that these bogeymen are out to get you and fighting you down and trying to deny you your rightful place. You repeat these claims many times and you can get millions of people to support you. She currently has 2.3 million followers on IG. Only one other track athlete (who has won actual Olympic and World championship medals and set WRs) has more followers. A fella named Usain Bolt.

Crass interviews don't help the sport. I don't find anything about SR attractive.
Athing Mu and Rai Benjamin are the faces we need at the forefront of USA Track and Field.
Amen. Those two the 400mh girls and men's shotputters are all excellent ambassadors for track and field and the US. Stop giving these athletes who are divisive or in SR's case a jerk the spotlight. We've got athletes who perform and are good people who can be the face of the sport.
Yeah agree

ETH won the race, but SAFP just won the war.

Yeah it seemed like the voices in her head at the time.
While this very thread commenced almost immediately upon the finish of the race, and rightfully so, she wasn't on her phone checking the LR reaction before the ubiquitous Lewis Johnson trackside interview.

What I have said since the beginning. I would add that she probably still enjoys some residual effects, and that the real SCR is slower than this race, between 11.25-11.40 (probably closer to the slower end of this range).
So when you start piecing everything together on this kind of sad and tragic saga, a couple of things are starting to stand out.
I mean we all know that the "death of my biological mother led me to..." story is just that - a story. It was national news and we have no reporter, no publication/outlet they work for, no name of a deceased and no forum or how this "interview" even took place (no 1-1 interviews were allowed in Eugene unless this "reporter" saw her walking down the street and accosted her with the sole intention of telling her that her mother had died before any friends or family did). It's pure nonsense that is in fairness a good front because it's an emotional, heart-string tugger and it's tough to call BS on a topic like this even in the face of an extremely poorly constructed and though-out effort.
So it's certain that if marijuana was in her system it wasn't there because of any need to deal with grief. I emphasize "if" because before yesterday my belief was that Richardson quite possibly sabotaged her way out of Tokyo because of the pressure and expectation she believed she was under, but now I am not so sure. The one key fact that we have that we can't forget is that she was in fact eligible for the relay and was not selected which is very odd. So either she turned the selection pertaining to the above - or she wasn't picked for a reason...
Which leads to yesterday. 11.13 with a month to prepare - no physical or mental toll of an Olympics, no travel, no time zones - running at a venue you clearly like and have run well at before. People will say "well she isn't race sharp like ETH/SFP" and yes this is true - but for a woman who ran the equivalent of 10.69 (10.77 into a 1.2 headwind) this season, a "rusty" effort is more like something in the 10.90-95 range - not getting the doors blasted off and finishing last - especially after you talked yourself up on social media for a week (and then oddly after the race).
Combining yesterday with the non-selection in the relay and the obviously bogus tale about how cannabis may have been in her system, now points me to something else a little more serious. It just doesn't appear like Richardson is a sub 11 competitor at all and I don't think the cannabis story was a way out - I think it was a cover.
Hey on this topic looking across the sprint world - there appears to be a trend of HUGE jumps in performance over the 100m in particular. Jacobs 10.08 > 9.80, the Kenyan dude Omuwra 10.32 > 9.86 (!!!!I can't believe I'm writing that), Fred Kerley (PR "officially" 10.49 but probably closer to low 10's > 9.84, and even Thompson-Herah 10.70 > 10.54. You might say tracks and shoes but we aren't seeing the same jumps by the same athletes in the 200m - if you think that Richardson falls more into the 11.0X category of athlete but somehow ran 10.77 this year it fit's in with the pattern of really large season to season performance increases that we just haven't seen in the sport really ever (well apart from Usain Bolt ^^). Interesting.

I think we have a member of Sha'Carri's entourage among us. You need an IQ of less than 80 to join though.

Alica Schmidt has more but I don’t think it’s because of how fast she is
SCR is just another entertainer, not a legit athlete. Totally belongs on SNL.
Who cares?
