No Americans have died and there have been no reports of Taliban killing citizens during the take over. This could change after we are gone.
Many of the Taliban are actually Afghanistan and include women and children Non-Taliban Afghanistans decided they didn't care to fight for their country even though their military out numbered and out gunned the Taliban. (The Taliban had no air force)
The most dangerous thing was the panic by the Afghanistan people. Our US developed and propped up Afghan government was always just smoke and mirrors.
Our continued investment had to end. The government there never had any intention to follow through.
Trump was right to initiate this and Biden was right to actually do it. The longest war in American history will be over soon. As far as country take overs, this was more peaceful than normal. Actually since there was never a government fully supported by the Afghanistan people, was it really a take over?
