That’s why he won Olympic Gold when Silver and Bronze were only in 3:28 shape.
Kerr is the fastest clean 1500 meter runner of all time.
Why is Kerr clean but Tim is dirty ?

Possible
If as I think Ingebrigtsen could right now run a high 3:26 /very low 3:27, then Josh Kerr might might run a very high 3:27, in perfect conditions, with perfect pace.

Because Tim dont have "personality" like most previous African champions!
That's what they say.
They need clean Don Juan not a nature freak like this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uBZKGsCC2cThe gap made Morceli between 1991 and 1995 is unprecedented in tracks and field history.

Funny how Josh Kerr gets mocked for his coach saying he was in 3:27 shape and then winning a bronze medal in 3:29.0 after two hard rounds, and yet all the same Americans here screaming that Cole Hocker was a 3:29 runner and him then running 3:31 to finish 6th has proven they were right.
Malmo - do you still think I'm 'strange' for claiming that Kerr gets disrespect here?
By the same logic Gjert Ingebrigsten should be mocked for claiming Jakob will try for the WR, as he needs to improve over 2 seconds on his Olympic final time.

I never read your posts, and yes you're strange.

If he means in perfect race on a track like Tokyo or Monaco, then a 3:27 high is possible. BUT, can we seriously compare a 3:27 in these conditions today as equivalent to say a 3:27 run by Morceli in the early 90's? Of course not.
The super spikes worn now probably takes a second to 1.5 off a 1500m time, all other things being equal.
The trampoline tracks of Tokyo, Monaco, etc, probably give 1.5 to 2 secs advantage - the designer of the Mondo Tokyo track says between 1 and 2%, all other things being equal.
With these in mind, a 3:27 today is more like a 3:30.
Kerr is a great athlete, and should break Farah's UK record using current technology, but I don't see him as having the potential to run an 'old skool' 3:27.

We should have more respect for Jim Ryun’s 3:33.1 on clay/dirt in 1967 … no drugs, no mechanical nykies, no tuned up juiced carpets.
