Wow, that guy is built. Don't see many buff Kenyans in the track world

Correct , his progress has been steady , had been looking ready for sub 10 all year . His build is strong as his tribe is not from rift valley Highlands , most of the very useful Kenyan 7s Rugby steam are similarly muscular. Not all Kenyans are tall and skinny
There goes the west African dominance theory out the window! Now even East Africans and Chineese sprinters can hit 9.8
I told you guys to not believe in the bs Pseudoscience of West African genetic dominance!

He went from a 10.4X pb to a 9.8X pb in 2 years? What bridge is this guy trying to sell me...
Let's not forget Bolt's progression from 10+ to 9.7 in a few months, and he was already well trained.
I don't think anybody with any remote knowledge of track and it's dirty history would believe this..

Yes there is a West African genetic dominance. There have been
267 legal sub 9.90s to date, all but 2(Su and this Kenyan)have been by
West African descent.
There have been 384 legal sub 20s to date, all but 17(Guliyev has 7)
have been by West African descent.
There have been 86 sub 44s to date, all but 9(all by Wariner) have
been by West African descent.
Numbers don't lie.

He tested positive for a drug only banned in competition, hence just a 14-month ban.
Oh, that's alright then.
Watch out USA and Jamaica. It's not just Marcell Jacobs.
Full disclosure, he was banned for 14 months in 2018 for betamethasone. Says the absence of a sprinting culture in Kenya forced him to resort to the internet for the supplements he needs which are not available locally and many which are mislabeled. But seems like a decent guy by his demeanour. LRC should get in touch, he's well-spoken, easy to talk to and receptive to interviews

There are already four threads on this.
Yeah, rejoice at a convicted doper running 9:86 after being stuck at 10.2 for several years. And the guy who beat him at the trials was busted for roids in Tokyo.
Ignorance doesn't always mean guilt. He was working with very limited resources in Kenya. Get him an experienced coach and top facilities and we have a potential medalist, gold even.
Sorry mods, hadn't seen the other thread. Please merge or delete.

This is a tremendous achievement. Ferdinand is a good sort, very personable and engaging. Wouldn't hurt for LRC to reach out and get his side of the story.

He must be clean then lol.
Plus he's got a ready made excuse, "mislabeled" supplements.
Have you noticed how con men and cheats always come across as nice, friendly, decent guys?
He's not running away from it. He acknowledged it in the same tweet celebrating his biggest achievement yet.

Absolutely, definitely must be clean then lol.
He was never stuck at 10.2 , several years ago he was playing rugby.
He must have some lungs. Let’s get this man into a 400 asap
😂😂😂
“Supplements” do not contain betamethasone.
C’mon, man.

Did you smoke a cigarette after you found out?
