Go back to sleep Joe since you have no idea what you're talking about.

After today's 400mh, Muhammad should be on the relay. 2 IHs an 800m runner and a 400m runner.

I think everyone is forgetting Raven Rogers. Rewatch her anchor on the NCAA 4x4 for U of O if you doubt, and she did a PR 800 with a massive negative split today. I’d let Felix run the heats, so she qualifies for a medal, and then move to Muhammad, then McLaughlin, then Mu, then Rogers. Unlikely, but a great 4.
No.
Maybe Rogers in the heats but not for the final
Give it a watch and get back to us. :-) Seriously. 49 and change. As an amateur. And she’s clearly faster now.

Gabby Thomas also ran a 49.4 for Harvard. We've got options. 49s everywhere.

I had this at 50.0 for whatever that's worth.
It's clear the officials will let us employ any baton passing scheme we come up with. Let's get 5 or 6 women in this relay.
Are any of our open 400 runners from new jersey?
We could out together an all jersey team
Doesn't an athlete have to run the open 400 at the Trials to be considered for the relay?

Yep, she could probs run the 1st and 4th leg!
There's no time for histrionics here: Muhammad, Felix, McLaughlin and Mu. That should be the team and the order of the legs. This team will definitely break the WR for the 4 X 4 which currently stands at 3:15.17 since 1988 by to old Soviet Union. It needs to go since it's wildly suspected to be a doped record.

No
Felix and Hayes run 49.xx to make the final.
It's Felix, Mu, Syd, Hayes.
You can run Ellis, Rogers, Muhammed, Johathas in the prelims......they get a gold too.
That's it.

Hmmm. Hayes was running backwards at the end of her semifinal, finished 4th, and secured the 8th spot in the final on time. I'd rather have Delilah, thanks much. Although sure, with those other 3 runners, the U.S. should win comfortable.
We really can't afford any 49s on this except for the lead off. After that, we need 48.5s from everyone. That will ensure around 3:15 flat. That Russian record is a fraud, and it's time it goes bye bye. If Hayes is on the relays, the coach should be fired.
I'd say use the prelims as a runoff to decide the 4th runner. The three 'M's are all obviously.
belong on the team as well!
If Felix
Lead off: Mu
Second: Muhammed
Third: Felix
anchor: McLaughlin
If Hayes
Lead off: Hayes
Second: Felix
Third: Mu
anchor: McLaughlin
Mu should not be leadoff under any circumstance. she has zero sprint mechanics. it is a waste to use her out of the blocks. give her that running start. PRetty sure she has teh most to gain from getting the running start.

Yep.
Pretty simple to me. Felix v Hayes, who do you trust in a tight Olympic final? Forget the story - who is the banker?
We all know it is Felix.
Mu runs 2nd (800 crossover) or last.
I would go Muhammed - McLaughlin - Felix - Mu.
Well, we are through to the final. Last bets on who's in?
Felix, Muhammed, Syd, Mu.
Should be burner.......shame someone is missing out on a Gold.

They all got pretty much same 400m speed at the moment- ca. 49.5, Hayes too. I would talk to the athletes and would find out who is the least tired and therefore least likely to screw up because of some minor injury.
No way. Mu and Mclaughlin are 1 second faster.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
