The US has the highest vaccination rate among large nations and has generally been ahead of the game although reluctant to provide multiple vaccine technology options. If they open up the markets, fast track more ready to go vaccines, rates go go much much higher, but this is not about vaccinating people it is about politics and demonizing voters on one side of the aisle so Biden will not allow new options onto the table for some time. He would rather see death and gain power than actually save lives.
I wonder why you and so many others are not making it “about vaccinating people” and instead making it “about politics and demonizing voters on one side of the aisle”.
If you want to save lives, stop making it about politicians like Biden. We should stop listening to the politicians completely, and start listening to the scientists. Stop listening to pundits like Tucker Carlson (whom the courts decided no reasonably intelligent person would believe). We should understand that policies and guidelines are not fixed, and will change as we learn more, and adapt to the increasing spread, especially in hotspots, so we must keep listening to the scientists and look for these changes when and where they occur.
The virus would be under control if people on all sides of the aisles had properly social distanced, worn masks as guided, and got vaccinated, when and as recommended by the scientists.
The only things you can accuse Biden of is stepping back and letting the scientists do their job, and organizing a national rollout of the vaccine.
The problem today is no longer one of low supply, but one of low demand, due to vaccine hesitancy because many people are not listening to the relevant scientists, preferring instead to listen to and propagate misinformation in social media, on “opinion” entertainment shows, and from politicians.
