Well, to be fair, they weren't gunning for 3:49 -- they were shooting for 3:46.
If he had run 3:46 tonight, those splits would have been 1:52.??/1:54.??.
So while, sure, they went out too fast, I am not too down on the pacers. Centrowitz just wasn't/isn't in 3:46 shape right now -- and THAT WAS THE GOAL OF TONIGHT
