Him being fired was my inference, but has that actually been confirmed?
I’m pretty sure that was just bad wording on their part. I interpreted it as he wore them BECAUSE he was no longer under contract to not wear them opposed to them being the reason he is not on the team anymore,
Not harsh at all,
I am not sure how he is compensated; but whatever his contract, he agreed to it (and certainly would not have been able to command more from another company).
Wearing a rival brand in competition is most certainly a breech of contract.
I work at an adidas sponsored university. Adidas financial commitment, just to track & field, at the school is substantial (and way more than it ever was under Nike) but penalties are fairly harsh if athletes are caught wearing other brands. I was surprised that Devers wore Nikes at NCAAs and would be curious to know what the repercussions were (if any, Tulsa may have an entirely different contract structure, who knows).

While that’s certainly possible, considering there was a typo saying he ran 8:39 for 1500 in the same video, I think you’re wrong.
It was worded very weirdly either way.
Fair point. If it is true, though, I think it just confirms that they're more concerned with building a brand than they are with running fast. When Barazza said he joined the team for the team and not for the coach(something no other athlete in an individual sport would say), it's the same logic. He wants to be part of a group and brand that's popular. The training itself was secondary. If they just admitted that they're about pushing their merch and getting likes, they'd probably get less sh!t.
Hell, this docuseries was more of an effort to monetize drama they created than anything else.
Sydney has been racing unattached for a few months now I think. This group is falling apart quickly.
Tinmom are a bunch of hacks.
According to the video he 'left' the team, there was no mention of firing at all.
What is funny about all this.
If he just quietly wore the dragonflys no one would have noticed, much less talked about it.
But now he gets fired for it (I heard he was kicked off the team for wearing them but not 100% sure), everyone is talking about it and its just another ad for nike.

No he has not. He was racing as TME at the Trials...

Who honestly gives a sh!t? He's a 3:40 1500m guy......should not be on anyone's radar.

And it wouldn't.... if they didn't fire him and just let him wear the spikes lol.
Is that the kid wearing the DV t?
Anyone dumping cash on stupid shiit like that can get what they deserve. Who pays for an overpriced T let alone exorbitant stupid shades?
Give me goodr shades and keep walking.
You can’t blame the guys for wanting to run in a professional group, where they get to race in meets for free, and get free gear. All you hatin hobby joggers pay $100+ to slug away 545s at your yearly turkey trot, and pay money from your boring jobs to buy Garmin’s and multiple pairs of running shoes a year.
Are these guys cringey? Of course. At least they are in a position to do what they love, and y’all take the time away from your lame lives to comment. The main things that bothers me, is they seem to take no personal accountability. If the firing of a coach was their hardest part of the year, and causes them to lose that much focus, then they weren’t as focused as they say they were. Additionally, they pick and choose what to be transparent about. Why not give details about what they didn’t like about the coach, and what his thoughts were back to them? Why.l not go into detail about the other guys they don’t update on?

He has actually left TME. My bad.
Ehhh....not too many hobby joggers around here. Don't forget you are commenting as well during your 'lame lives' .
TinMom are basically hobby joggers trying to shill gear on you and garner YouTube views. Their job is more social media then running now.....Sad.
I respect your 2nd paragraph. But if they start going into too much detail, it takes away from their cause. I don't want to know about their training and coaching because they are irrelevant in the track world. Something tells me that some people posting are in TinMom and trying garner attention.

Inaccurate. He got a full time gig at Strava apparently.
