and speaking of Woodbridge, Mia Chavez, who ran a 17:03 there, will be heading to Tucson to run for the Wildcats. So many fast girls leaving California for other states. Kids got great range: 58.2/2:08(state champ)/4:55m.
Tacoma's Ella Borsheim is staying home and will be attending UWashington where she will bring her impressive resume (2:11/4:45/10:20/16:44xc!) to the Huskies, joining Chloe Foester (and Jamar Distel) in an impressive class of regional athletes.
Grace Hartman to NC State.
Meanwhile, Oakwood's Grace Hartman is joining the building juggernaut that is the NC State womans team. She will bring her fast times (2:13.4:46/10:21/17:31xc) to the Wolfpack to add to their already ridiculous stable.

Good Luck getting in the big meets at NC state, it will be a dogfight with more losers than winners.

No doubt. Although you dont choose schools strictly based on being the fastest one there. But weve been through that.
Speaking of North Carolina schools its worth noting that Amber Schulz will be heading to High Point. Not a super elite runner (5:08/10:43/17:44xc) and plagued by nagging injuries her junior and senior years, but worth noting because of the social media empire she built in high school. Curious to see what kind of NIL situation she may walk into there...
Ella Kurto of Saratoga Springs (4:52m/10:21/17:58xc) headed to Toledo.
St. Viator's Mary Grace Hegberg (2:17/4:45/10:17/17:08xc3) is going to Washington DC to run for Georgetown. Hoya Saxa...
Anastacia Gonzales has committed to Arkansas. She brings real range and solid numbers (57.2/2:09/4:44m/17:32xc) to the Razorbacks. Was Texas 5A state champion in the 1600. Even did a few field events.
More Texas studs committing: Prosper's own Aubrey O’Connell (2:08/4:49/10:24/16:52xc) is headed to Stillwater to run for the Cowboys. Has 6A state championship titles in the 800 and in cross country despite sharing the region with Brynn Brown most of her career.

They've realized CAL has abandoned the distances and UCLA...who knows but it's a dumpster fire. So if you want Pac12 level but Stanford doesn't want you...you GTFO.
Caroline Bauer committed to Florida - 2:19 / 4:57/ 10:44 2 mile / 17:27 5k
IN stud Karina James (4:52 / 10:38 / 17:41 5k) also joining Rockets in Toledo. Coach Grove- McDonough is building quite a program.
Has Charlotte Bednar committed to a college?
Bednar and Lawrenceville tend to be pretty quiet compared to other athletes/schools I have found. She only just ran her first race this weekend.

Kaylie Politza (IN - 2:08/4:52/17:46 5k XC) to Oklahoma State. Cowgirls keep reloading
Talk about reloading. In addition to Politza and O’Connell, they just signed Natalie Cook of Flower Mound (2:17/4:50/10:12/16:39/17:03xc) and Cayden Dawson who just won the Chili Pepper XC Festival with a 17:28. Got them both on the same day.
OK State has picked up 5 solid girl recruits this season -- 3 top 50 (Cook, O'Connell, and Politza) and 2 top 100 (Dawson and Hinkle). They have 31 Distance girls on their roster this season and only 8 are seniors / grad students. Assuming none of them take their extra year of eligibility and all leave, roster would have 28 next year. Their top 2 recruits from last year -- Grace Ping (4:54/10:25/16:26/17:08 5k) and Colleen Stegman (2:14/4:54/10:30/17:02xc) haven't officially raced yet and are most likely red-shirted.
Just wonder if these girls have thought this all the way through. Wouldn't some of these top recruits be better off going to other D1 schools with smaller rosters and not as many superstars? They would get to race more and have a better experience IMHO.
Riley Stewart going to Stanford. Joining friend Taylor James on the Cardinal roster. Kid is all everything in Colorado of course. I think she won 4 state titles last year, sweeping the 800, 1600 and 3200 and one of the relays with her fast Cherry Creek teammates. Just stellar numbers: 2:08/4:40 m/10:27 2m/16:43xc. So Stewart, Caroline Wells AND Ava Parekh?? Has to be the best recruiting class so far. And still some big names to fall...
Angelina Perez (2:23/4:54/10:20/16:56 XC) going to Florida
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
