Looks like class of 2022 is already making college commitments… big three I noticed:
Jenna Hutchinson to BYU
Lily Shapiro to UNC
Camryn Wennestern to FURMAN
Who else? I am a little surprised to see people making decisions so early.

It’s Jenna Hutchins, you dolt!
Riley Chamberlain committed to BYU back in April

Chamberlain trending wrong direction. 440->450 2020->2021
Is she Mormon?
Chamberlain just ran 4:47 mile at outdoor nationals. Would have dropped lower if they put her in the “fast” heat.
NorCal section canceled regionals and state so she’s had fewer opportunities.
She ran 4:44 1600 last year, not 4:40.. She’ll be just fine.
Willis will go pro.
Jenna Mulhern to Furman. Furman looking strong

why do you think this? I dont think even she thinks shes at that level yet. Mu is her hero. I would think she would want to play things like Mu did and get a year in at the college level then see where she stands. If she is running 1:57 next year as a HS senior maybe she'll reconsider.

So Camryn Wennestern and Jenna Mulhern both to Furman! That is crazy!
Scaring the kids to commit. Rota is special
Caroline Lehman to Notre Dame. Real solid pick up for the Irish. 2:15/4:46/10:14/16:53
Small school Virgina state champ Carly Wilkes announces Furman! 2:18/4:54/10:32. Not quite as impressive as the other Furman commits but solid.

Olivia Hass (2:14/4:54/10:42/17:58) to NC State.

NC State still building a future in the midst of trying to win their first NCAA CC title this year!
Interesting looking at PA state meet in 2019…… 1st Starliper, 3rd Quarzo, 4th Haas! Gianna Quarzo had a great freshman year and made a big jump from high school to college…….Haas was right behind her as a sophomore and won a state title last year, has more speed than Quarzo, and has this year in HS to get even better. I point that out not to argue she is better than Quarzo but to say holy cow, Coach Henes has found another diamond in the rough to build the dynasty! The future looks great for the Wolfpack since Henes is so good at development of her athletes.
Everyone seems to forget that NC state has been to more NCAA championships than any other women’s program, and have produced these results without 5 Star recruits. Some will point to Tuohy and Starliper, but the team was good before them, and Starliper has not raced yet (which will change this year since she is finally healthy)! Henes is sooooo underrated for how well she develops athletes.

...and to continue the North Carolina theme... Maddie Huecker (2:17/4:50 (4A State Record)/18:16xc) will be attending UNC next year. She might also be swimming there apparently.
What about Juliette Whittaker?
I know Willis has a slightly better 800 PR, but Whittaker outperformed her at the trials and then followed it up with a mile win at Brooks PR.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
